Required Functional Testing freelancer for Functional testers based in Belgium needed job

SDL is currently looking for functional hardware testers for a 25-30 hour project that must be completed in Belgium. This project is expected to be completed by mid-December, starting as soon as possible.

Purpose:

Sanity testing a WiFi router and Mesh Extender, including testing various router settings, basic performance testing, streaming quality tests, Smart Home device integration tests, and basic user journeys.

Testers will connect device (wi-fi router) to their current home setup, follow detailed test plan, and troubleshoot any issues between the device and the smart home devices (also provided). Using debugging and analysis tools, determine and report defects.

Required skills:

BA in IT, System Administration, Networking, Computer Science or a related field.

1-2 years of QA testing or IT/Network admin experience

Comfortable configuring WiFi routers and WLAN modems, including various encryption, WAN, and wireless settings.

Experience working with Smart Home devices (Nest Thermostat, Smart lights, Smart displays, Smart speakers)

Working knowledge of Android SDK platform, debugging and analysis tools (like Fiddler or Wireshark) preferred

High-speed internet at home and willingness to use own network for testing

Conversational level of English to provide results and speak with team leads via phone or email

Works well with an international team

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Able to meet deadlines

All testers will be required to sign an agreement from the client regarding confidentiality of the device, and the devices must be returned at the end of the process. (Shipping will be paid by SDL.)
