THE TASK is to produce shop drawings from the attached general concept.
- The GREEN foundation support is fixed to pickup's rear spring hanger.
- The BROWN king post, slews with the boom
- The BLUE down-rigger is spring retracted, winch-extended.
DESIGN WORK STAGES
- Decide on materials and dimensions of the king-post (brown), downrigger (blue) and foundation support (green). Decide on other general dimensions.
- Decide how the king post slews (rotates) in the foundation support. (Is a bushing needed?)
- Design how the fixed foundation support is mounted to the rear spring hanger.
- Design how the fixed foundation support interfaces to the up and down movement of downrigger
- Design and fabricate a] foundation support b] downrigger. Install and test.
- Design , fabricate a] kingpost b] boom c] boom support arm. Install and test.
- Design, fabricate and install pulleys. Install wire rope, test and modify as necessary.
- Design and fabricate winch foundation. Install winch. Test.
