Thank you for replies. The most interesting ones are from pro's using some software solution for whiteboard videos, like videoscribe or similar. This seems to greatly reduce the costs, while enabling the quality we need.
The animations we need are simple. Our brand image is also simple, the logo is black font text with a yellow logo element. The style for the videos is black-and white hand doodling of words and simple objects&characters. Yellow is used as an effect colour.
Here is some thinking on the look and feel we are looking for. Take for example this piece of the script:
'Engaging with people in a way that energizes and creates positivity starts from being genuine - having the courage to show ourselves behind our actions. Revealing something more of ourselves than just the fade.
In practice it means sharing some aspect of your inner world - emotions, thought processes, insecurities - the way you see the world. Opening up builds mutual appreciation, trust and psychological safety.'

Hello!
We are a start-up from Finland. We create online video content for worklife soft skills learning (time management, team building, social skills etc.). We have 1000 minutes of very simple 'talking head' videos in Finnish. Altogether around 330 videos, around 3 mins/video.
We are currently in the process of producing all our existing content in English. The production is based on written scripts, which we have ready in English. To make them into videos, we are considering two options for the video production:
1. Simple talking head videos
2. Animated video
Our budget for the production of 1000 minutes of video is 10 000 - 20 000 USD (10-20 USD / 1 minute of final video). That is based on existing quotas from talking head video production houses.
Note, that the end users are using these videos flexibly as 'videos' and 'podcasts', so they also use them as audio-only media. The animated video functions as a support to the audio: highlighting main points, illustrating concepts and keeping the listener engaged. Also, this is learning not marketing material.
Do you have any experience on such use cases? Use your creativity when coming up with a proposal.
I will share example script with shortlisted candidates. Show us what you can do to make it alive and what is the price / 1 minute of final video! This the current project, but our video production is ongoing, so we are interested in long term collaboration after this.
