ABOUT ME
Skilled in tools and techniques in preclinical drug development. PhD in Biosciences and Bioengineering from IIT Guwahati, specializing in the biology of the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum. Extensive postdoctoral research experience in India and the United States of America, on the cell and molecular biology of apicomplexan parasites, causitive agents of toxoplasma and malaria. Research interests include antimalarial drug screening and development and to characterize the unique cellular and biochemical features which distinguish parasite cells from human host cells. Interested in anticancer and pro-apoptotic drug discovery.
Posseses experience in Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry, delivering clients with research on protein purification, molecular & cell biology and compound screening. Extensive experience in antimalarial compound screening (PfLDH and SYBR green platforms), HTRF assays and various other in vito assays in 96 and 384 well plate format.
Published 7 articles in reputed academic journals with the highest impact factor of 4.82. A total citation of 41 and an H-index of 4.
