I've been in a BPO KPO industry for almost 5 years now and that was with my previous employer, eData Service Phils. Inc. I was trained as a full revenue cycle management medical virtual assistant. Responsible in providing customer service and administrative support to providers such as appointment scheduling, verifying eligibility and benefits, getting prior authorization/referrals, and billing services which includes claims submission and payment follow up. I was trained as well on how to code a diagnosis (ICD 10) and rendered procedures (CPT). I was also exposed in different types of electronic health record (EHR) like AthenaHealth, Kareo, eClinicalworks, PhoenixOrtho, etc.
