ABOUT ME
I have 30 years of UK construction experience, 18 years experience as a construction estimator, 8 of those years also as a quantity surveyor whilst running my own shopfitting and joinery business.
Before becoming an estimator I had 12 years experience as a suspended ceiling and partition fixer, so I have a good knowledge of interior fit outs and associated trades.
Currently for estimating and take-offs I use Bluebeam Revu, which I find to be a remarkable tool, but in the past I have used other estimating packages (Conquest and Kestrel) and made my own Excel spreadsheet for estimating.
I am also competent in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and other such office based programmes as well as CAD programmes such as Autocad, Vectorworks and Bluebeam Revu, plus others not so well known.
I can work to deadlines and work under pressure, whether part of a team or individually and I am comfortable interacting with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and colleagues.
I hold a CSCS Black card for construction estimator, valid until January 2018
