ABOUT ME
Jerome Harper aka Trombone Jerome was born in Brooklyn and raised in South Texas and his musical prowess and affections are reflected in the marks of this upbringing. At the age of fifteen he began playing professionally heading up his own jazz quintet and since then he has toured, recorded and performed all over the world. He has collaborated and performed with world class artists such as Sean Paul, Martha Reeves, Rudimental, Kano, Laura Mvula, Coolio, John Newman and Snarky Puppy, to name but a few. Jerome is the founder of Brassroots which has been the major-league player in the establishing of the UK contemporary brass band scene. Brassroots has enjoyed top 40 chart success in the U.K. and across the globe even picking up a number 1 in New Zealand. The trombonist also manages the subsidiary business Brassroots Records and the brass band festival Brassroots Brass Band which ran for over a decade.
