ABOUT ME

Background I am 23 years old currently still studying for a bachelors degree on Business Administration. I was born in the Philippines. I grew up in a bilingual environment (English / Filipino) since I was a child so I’ve always been interested in learning a new language. Later, our family immigrated to Taiwan where I learned Chinese (Mandarin). During my academic days, I have participated in many on and off-campus English competitions (speech competitions, spelling competitions, etc.), and also obtained a TOEIC gold certificate scoring 865. Working Experience Right after graduating from high school, I started to work at a remittance company as a secretary but also still continued my studies. I worked fulltime during the day and went to college at night. My job included reviewing documents, answering calls, assisting branches in Taiwan to communicate with customers from different countries (Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Filipino), translating company announcements (Chinese / Philippines / English), assisting in handling system and hardware equipment issues of various branches. After a long period of contact with people from the above countries, I gradually cultivated my translating / interpreting skills. Although working and studying at the same time was tough, but I have gained a lot of valuable experiences during those three years.
