ABOUT ME

I use different statistical algorithms to provide more robust audit coverage of a Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering (BSA/AML) audit in order to ensure a higher level of assurance of BSA/AML regulatory compliance.
In today’s banking system is evolving much faster than before. It is continuously evolving new payment methods. Due to new innovations in financial system the financial institutions are vulnerable for miss-use (money laundering).
The banks have relationship with millions of customers and demand for sophisticated method for detection and review money laundering activities is increased.
Role and Responsibilities:
1) Fetch transactional data from Oracle database
2) Remove the transactions with incorrect/missing account IDs
3) Decision on floors values of transaction volume and frequency
4) Do the targeted sampling:Remove accounts involved in daily expenses or bill payments and target the accounts where money inflow or outflow happening without any clear relationship with counterparty.
5) Send the samples to the Surveillance ops team for their review of transactions
6) Fetch performance data
7) Combine sample data and performance data for decision tree modeling
8) Based on log(p) value, construct the decision tree rules to identify money laundering activities.
