ABOUT ME

I have worked as a Relay Operator from 2008 until 2012 that helps the deaf and the hard-of-hearing community to communicate with their friends and family over the phone in real time. Since I do it live, I am expected to deliver the transcript that is 100% accurate and verbatim. Of course, typing speed should be 60 wpm and above. I also worked as a Communication Assistant for the hard-of-hearing in 2014 until 2018. Much like a Relay Operator, I also help them communicate with their friends and families over the phone. The only difference is that here we used a captioning software wherein we listen to the conversation and voice out what is being said verbatim. I was also expected to deliver captions that were 95% (and above) accurate.
