ABOUT ME

The founder of InspectionXpert and colleagues there would call me by my nickname Kamikaze as I have challenged the status quo at multiple instances. When we were building a page on our product to make it functionally better on a mobile screen, I raised my objections with the founder and we had a great discussion that influenced his decision to promote me to become a Product Owner. When I have been told not to build this and that or to build that and this, or when I have been denied tools that would help the team and me function better, I have challenged the decisions bringing in the appropriate stakeholders who would benefit from the change I am proposing.

My experience in mechanical parts design and fabrication before software development experience provided an understanding of how software can be delivered faster and how it can also reach more people and thus enable and elevate mankind.

PMI introduced me to Project Management at University at Buffalo. Product Management was a discipline that I learned about as I was following and learning from PMI’s resources. I have always wanted to simplify the rising level of complexity in the world through innovative solutions based on technology. This can only be done by answering the question “We have always done it that way, why should we change?”

InspectionXpert propelled me on to the Product Management role and I am forever grateful for that. As a Quality Engineer turned Product Manager, complex challenges are what I look forward to as being detail-oriented is a skill that I possess. I hope to be an integrator who provides the following:
1. A prioritized backlog that is available to all stakeholders.
2. Consideration of all stakeholders’ interests and providing data-based answers to any question.
3. An approach that involves iterating through the stages: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control
4. Bring humility and courage to the team. I will admit what I do not know and question team members on any assumptions being made.
