ABOUT ME

A postgraduate (by research, Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun, India) in Remote Sensing & GIS with a specialization in Geosciences and a graduate in Geosciences Engineering (University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, India). My research interest lies in understanding and applying a multi-disciplinary approach to solve the mystery of the earth's surface process by applying knowledge of structural geology, remote sensing, and geophysical methods. From my degree course, after acquiring sufficient education and training, I want to contribute to this world of science by helping towards the understanding of the dynamics of the earth for our better future and society. My academic training has provided me with an excellent background in Structural Geology, Remote Sensing, Geophysical methods, and programming languages. I am currently involved in research activities related to Extreme Weather Events-Heatwave over the Indian subcontinent. It requires analysis of trends of heat stress and heatwave conditions over the country and also involves how climate change might alter these in the near feature. The research includes urban heat island study and its relation with heat stress, the association of heat stress with the different climatic zone of India, Geology, Geomorphology, Topography and Land use, and land cover. The final expected outcome will a heat stress/wave model that the local authority can use to safeguard the citizens.
