ABOUT ME

I have been writing ever since I was a child! At A-Level I studied Literature, however, by this point, I was knee deep in my love affair with the dictionary, with reading about history and sport, with writing lyrics, and expressing my creativity in the form of a unique written and orally delivered spectrum of vocabulary! Consequently, the melting pot of all these seemingly unrelated forces, when brought together, actually expressed my true uniqueness as a writer! In jobs, I quickly carved niches as the go to person to write company emails, often times in my younger 20’s, I would use words that left my bosses dumbfounded (something that isn’t always a good thing as I later found out!), with the benefit of maturity and experience, I quickly had to realise that in such settings, my skill of writing was to speak to the customer, not to my ego, and consequently I adapted my style! From 2016, I made long form blogging a regular practice of mine, and in addition to opening a small business; this is where I carved my niche as a creative non-fiction writer. I truly enjoy taking facts, my poison is football/soccer season’s and condensing the facts into a beautiful and exciting story, replete with hyperbole and magical adjectives! This is the blueprint for all of the ad-copy I self-produce for my small online business, as well as all of the long form social media posts that I also produce for the site. I also have my own blog where I take my living practices and try to give them meaning in word form; something which I view as an extension of my tweets and Instagram posts, which if you ever saw, are another expression of my undying passion for writing. I then took the lockdown period to revisit my past as a song/lyric writer, and consequently, I have written and performed 40 recordings in my own leisure this year!
