Complete engineering design c/w Ventilation requirement as below
I will give you a engine datasheet and enclosure layout.
The target temperature rise is 5 deg C.
The ventilation flow rate to consider air intake consumption required by the engine.
Air intake from a safe area and discharge to open air.
Outdoor Condition: Max 38 deg C, Min 21 deg C
We are asked to provide several documents. I would like to check is it possible to generate the document below:
Calculation showing the ventilation sufficient to cool the gas engine in the enclosed environment + engine air combustion requirement
Based on the current layout and opening on the enclosure, is it possible for the enclosure vendor to come out with a calculation showing the outlet air velocity is cater to prevent the ingress of flammable gas, indoor open or door closed condition, with conservation consideration of wind velocity.
If the enclosure vendor cannot do above, one of the solutions I can think of is an enclosure to adopt positive pressure to prevent the ingress of flammable gas. If this option selected, can the enclosure vendor prove it with the calculation?
2 & 3 prevent the ingress of flammable gas, However, if there is an internal release of flammable gas, can the enclosure vendor verify min flow rate showing dilution achieved. The main objective is to dilute the air inside the enclosure so that LEL < 25%. There is an internal source of release (fuel gas) inside the enclosure. Full release condition is 0.023 kg/s. Fuel gas pressure is 2.41 to 2.76 barg. Is it able to calculate what is the min flow rate for dilution? Assuming secondary type release.
It is possible to perform computational fluid dynamics inside the enclosure?
The enclosure is to be designed in accordance with IEC 60079-13, artificially ventilation Ex" VC".
