Situation:

We have a multi-tenant Rails app deployed on Heroku. It's a B2B solution where our clients need need internet to access and use it.
However, internet is unstable and expensive, increasing the cost of adoption of our solution more than 2 folds!
You can suggest a better solution, but we thought that deploying the application on a local web server is the best way to address the challenge.
Needs:
--------
1. Deploying the Rails app on a local web server so that multiple users from a same organization can write and read from a central database, without access to internet (the goal is to achieve offline functionality).
2. Ability for the app to receive updates either on demand or in a set time-frame (UI, business logic)
3. Writing a script which will perform a regular backup of the PostgreSQL database and uploads it to Heroku database

2. A video tutorial
3. A finalized project on Bitbucket or Github
