Required Geographic Information System (GIS) freelancer for Create cropped 1sqmi hexagon grid of shapefiles for the United States job

I need an array of interlocking hexagonal grids (hexagonal tesselation), each shape measuring 1 square mile in area, overlaying the entire United States. They should be cropped to only overlay land areas.
I would suggest an Albers or Lambert projection, but it of course needs to use rectilinear coordinates, not degrees. Remaining details will discuss after job award.
