Required Sensors freelancer for Sensor help job

We want to detect the presence of a finger through double glass. Standard IR and other sensors are capable of detecting through single glass. We need to find or build a sensor system that can detect a finger through double glass at a distance of about 1 to 2 inches on the other side of the glass. The sensor system will be on the INSIDE of the glass and the finger will be on the OUTSIDE of the glass. Nothing will be situated on the outside of the glass, all sensing and electronic components must be on the inside of the glass. There may be a standard sensor that can do this, but we haven't found it yet.
