iThrive Games Foundation uses games and game design to support teen thriving. We design innovative, evidence-based products and programs for teens and the adults who surround them. And, we are expanding our team to include a manager of marketing.
If you're iThrive's next manager of marketing, you have a passion for figuring out creative ways to connect our unique products and programs with the perfect users. You're excited to grow our network, get our brand known, and our products and programs adopted. You're exacting about beautiful, persuasive marketing collateral and know what it takes to make it on a deadline. You love gathering real-time intel on how communications are landing so you can fine-tune our approach. You're tech savvy and excited to work for a fully remote team that stays connected with digital tools and meets in person a few times a year. You like traveling about 10% of the time.
In A Typical Week, You Might:
Set up video calls with our project leads to get the download on new products, events, and programs
Outline a new marketing campaign from start to finish, assessing just how much time we have for feedback and iteration before it goes live
Find and hire the perfect contractor for a unique campaign
Make headway on projects that keep our website relevant, interactive, and engaging
Schedule some fantastic tweets and Facebook posts for that month's campaign efforts
Meet with our communication coordinator to review and analyze our latest social media metrics and collaborate on a plan for making growing our impact next quarter
Work with one of our copywriters to refine language for the Executive Director's latest pitch to donors
Unearth new orgs and individuals who need and want exactly what we do
Highlight our latest exciting news and recent work in our monthly newsletter
We Have:
A smart, mission-focused team
Innovative game-based tools and experiences that support teens to know themselves better and to lead change in the world
A growing network of partners and clients in games, education, and mental health who believe amazing things can happen in the world with, for, and because of teens
You Have:
At least two years of experience managing and growing a brand
Fantastic design and communication skills (grammar nerds welcome)
Your finger on the pulse of the latest marketing trends and digital/social media tools
Enough know-how about user-flows, wireframes, a Divi builder or Squarespace style platform, Wordpress, and AWS to organize the work with skilled contractors
Adobe Creative Suite chops
Knowledge of Google Analytics or something like it
A knack for organizing things (like brand assets) and people (you know how to delegate and keep great track of progress)
Familiarity with Asana or another task management software
The ability to roll with changes while keeping an eye on brand integrity
Authentic enthusiasm for social impact and the power of teens
It's Fantastic If You Also Have:
Non-profit experience
Experience appealing to one or more of our unique audiences (teenagers, educators, mental health professionals, and/or game developers and scholars)
Your own robust social media presence
Experience developing press releases and securing publications
Familiarity with Airtable or similar CRM software
Experience managing creative contractors
Good to Know:
The manager of marketing reports to our executive director and manages the work of independent contractors
