Job Description
As a Salesforce Solution Architect, you'll use both technical and business skills to scope, design, and deliver both tailored and custom Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate has a software or service delivery background, and extensive experience designing Salesforce solutions in a client-facing role.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Act as an expert guide to our clients, growing Saasinct's brand through the creative use of technology and consistently teaching them the ‘art of the possible'. Become their trusted advisor, providing guidance and support to stakeholders to help them determine the most efficient and cost-effective solutions to their business problems. Articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for technical architecture. Identify risks or issues may impact data quality, performance and scalability or usefulness.
- Manage discovery and consulting sessions with customers to capture and analyze our clients' business problems and ideal state; participate in the design of new user-focused solutions, define business requirements, write user stories, and document functional designs that span multiple platforms and may include integration and authentication across systems.
- Lead Salesforce implementations, providing both oversight and hands-on contributions to software design, development, and integration activities. Design and implement data models, build custom Objects, flows, validation rules, Process Builder, reports and dashboards, security controls, and 3rd-party integrations.
- Collaborate with Saasinct team members to refine current processes and best practices and make recommendations for more efficient future-state processes and system designs.
Qualifications & Skills
- You must be a critical thinker looking for gaps, challenging assumptions, pushing back on bad ideas and providing sound alternatives.
- A minimum 7 years of experience working on the Salesforce platform, including at least 4 years working as a Solution Architect; experience performing at least 3 implementations as a principal.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, math or related field preferred. Candidates with a high school diploma or GED and 10 years of technology experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with Salesforce best practices, support mechanisms, procedures, and limitations is required. Knowledge of and experience with agile development practices, prioritization, and sprint planning is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this position. The ability to accurately assess and constructively communicate project risk to manage client expectations is a must for this role.
- Experience working in the Financial Services and/or Not-For-Profit verticals is strongly preferred.
