About This Service
Having worked within the industry for over 11 years, I have developed a wide range of skills that would meet, and exceed the expectations for any type of transcription work.
I have extensive experience in working for a hospital type setting both ambulatory and acute. I am currently working at Niagara Health as a part time transcriptionist. Working in the hospital gives me direct knowledge of how procedures work. I am familiar with all aspects of a hospital system (Niagara Health consists of 6 hospitals in the region).
I have worked for the London Health Sciences Center along with the London Regional Cancer Program Centre for six years, and Scarborough Health Network home based (voice recognition and transcription). I have worked in every field of medicine including Emergency, Oncology, Trauma, Operative and clinic work. Over the years I have added a vast amount of research material in order for me to work superiorly from home, with little or no supervision. I also worked in a family medicine/Walk In Clinic office for 6 years. For 5 years I typed for a respirology/cardiology clinic.
I have worked on IMEs for a Physiatrist who is a Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as a variety of specialist IMEs. I also worked on legal/police/WCB reports of all kinds.
Since January 2018 I have been branching out and typing for podcasts, legal depositions, minute meetings for Fortune 500 companies, lectures, seminars and investigative interviews.
I also worked for 3 years with WCB typing workplace safety interviews, including accident interviews/investigations and fraud investigative interviews. The majority of these interviews were 4-5 hours long including 5+ people.
